Your Sleeper username
Use your account username, not your team name. Choose NFL or NBA, the season and the team you want to discuss.
A question about your team
Start with a roster review, a lineup choice or a waiver question. Ask the assistant to flag anything it could not check.

Add the connector
In Claude or any MCP tool, add a custom connector; in ChatGPT on the web, turn on developer mode and use the + button on the Plugins page. Give it a name and paste the League Loom URL as the server address.

Choose your leagues
Load your leagues in the setup wizard. Select a personal team for team-specific help, or leave it unselected for league overviews. No API keys.

Do I need my Sleeper password?
No. Enter your Sleeper username and choose your league and team. League Loom never asks for your Sleeper password.
Is League Loom an official Sleeper product?
No. League Loom is independent of Sleeper. It uses the league information Sleeper makes publicly available.
Can ChatGPT use the Sleeper API?
ChatGPT has no built-in Sleeper connection. Add League Loom as a connector and it calls Sleeper's public API for you, so ChatGPT or Claude can read your leagues, rosters, matchups and available players from your username, with no code to write.
Do I need a Sleeper API key or any code?
No. Sleeper's public API does not use keys for reading league data, and League Loom is hosted, so there is nothing to install or deploy. Add the connector URL, enter your username and choose your team.
Which AI apps can use it?
Claude on any plan, including one custom connector on the free plan, and its iOS and Android apps once the connector is added. ChatGPT on the web with developer mode, on Plus or higher. Other MCP clients work too. League Loom is free; your chosen AI service has its own access requirements.
Can it change my lineup or put in waiver claims?
No. The assistant can help you decide who to start or add, but you set your lineup and submit claims in Sleeper yourself.
Which sports does it cover on Sleeper?
League Loom's Sleeper support covers NFL and NBA leagues. For fantasy baseball or hockey, the same connector reads ESPN and Fantrax leagues, so one connection can cover the rest of your teams.
What exactly can it read from a league?
Your roster, standings, matchups, recent moves, draft results and available players. It can also show who is being added across Sleeper. For a chosen regular-season NFL week, it can calculate projections using your scoring rules and explain any gaps. Sleeper ownership percentages are not available.
