League Loom is a free fantasy sports connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard for linking AI assistants to outside data. A manager adds one connector URL to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP-compatible AI tool, authorizes it, and picks their teams in a setup of about two minutes. From then on they can ask about their actual leagues: a weekly team review, which available player is worth a claim, or a lineup call checked against the league's scoring and roster settings. League Loom reads ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax, up to 25 leagues per platform in one connection, across football, basketball, baseball, hockey and more, depending on the platform. All 18 of its tools retrieve or analyze data, so managers set lineups, submit claims and make trades on their fantasy platform themselves. Setup is easiest on a computer. Once connected, questions also work in Claude's phone apps, while ChatGPT runs custom apps like League Loom only on the web. The connector is free, with fair-use request budgets.

Data limits
Per-player stat categories come back only where a provider or public player research exposes them, and matchup reads summarize team scores rather than a category-by-category breakdown.
Setup
About two minutes, with no API keys or coding. Easiest on a computer, in Claude's web or desktop app or ChatGPT on the web. Once connected, questions also work in Claude's iOS and Android apps; ChatGPT needs developer mode (Plus or higher) and runs custom apps only on the web.
Sign-in and security
OAuth with dynamic client registration and PKCE. Platform credentials are sealed into the connection's own token with AES-256-GCM encryption; optional email recovery keeps an encrypted backup.

Who builds League Loom

Charlie Temkin built League Loom as an independent project. He is a product manager with more than ten years in product, marketing and analytics across enterprise software, and he builds AI side projects outside his day job. League Loom, his first MCP server, started as a way to stop juggling ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax tabs and ask one assistant about every league.
