The offer is only half the trade

Fantasy basketball trade analyzer with your league context

League Loom brings your fantasy basketball rosters and league data into Claude or ChatGPT so you can review a trade in context.

Compare points scoring, category needs, positional depth and the add or drop behind a two-for-one offer. The assistant gives the recommendation; League Loom supplies read-only data, not a universal trade score.

From an offer to an informed decision

Supported basketball leagues

Connect ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax NBA leagues. Exact fields differ: Fantrax can return salary but not your full cap rules; category stats are not available for every player. Check the capabilities reference for provider limits.

No invented category forecast

League Loom does not calculate basketball category win probabilities, a rest-of-season trade value or a complete punt model. Ask for a qualitative comparison when evidence is incomplete, with the gaps named.

You control the trade

League Loom does not send, accept or decline trades. Review current news and your league's deadlines, then make the decision in your fantasy platform.

From your league to your AI tool

1

Connect your basketball league

Choose ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax in setup and select NBA and the correct season. ESPN private leagues need cookies; Sleeper uses your username; Fantrax uses your league URL and may need a Secret ID. Enter credentials only in the setup form.

2

Add League Loom to your assistant

Follow the current Claude or ChatGPT connection guide. League Loom is free; your AI app's plan and custom-connection requirements are separate. Keep your connection token private.

3

Ask about your actual team

Copy the decision prompt below into your connected conversation. Confirm the team and season, supply missing rules, and review the evidence before making any move in your fantasy app.

Worked example

A two-for-one with an overlooked drop

Illustrative example with fictional players. No live stats or trade values are implied.

  1. The offer

You send Guard A and receive Forward B plus Center C. Your roster is already full.

  2. The real comparison

The assistant compares Guard A plus your required drop against Forward B plus Center C, then checks whether your remaining guards cover the starting slots.

  3. The next question

If the deal leaves a guard slot uncovered, ask for a counteroffer or an available replacement. A higher combined total from two players does not settle the decision.

More about this connection

The same offer can solve one team's problem and create another's. Reading both rosters exposes the position you cannot replace and the bench player you would have to drop.

Ask the assistant to explain the trade-off and the missing evidence before treating a recommendation as actionable.

Before you connect

Questions, answered

Is this a free fantasy basketball trade analyzer?

League Loom is a free connector with fair-use request budgets. It lets your connected AI assistant review a trade using league data. It is not a standalone numerical trade calculator, and your assistant's subscription or custom-connection requirements are separate.

Can I use it for nine-category or punt strategies?

You can ask for category fit, but a defensible answer needs the relevant player stats. Category availability varies by provider and player. If stats are missing, the assistant should say so instead of inventing a punt ranking, shooting-percentage impact or category win forecast.

Does it work with ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax basketball?

League Loom supports NBA leagues on all three platforms. Confirm the team, season and scoring before asking. Some data differs: salary and contract rules, category stats and projections are not uniformly available.

Can it analyze a two-for-one trade?

Yes. Ask for both rosters before and after, including the required drop if you receive two players or an available addition if you send two. That is a roster decision, not simply a comparison of two players' totals against one.
