It reads rosters, standings, matchups with ESPN's projections, transactions, draft results, and the available-player pool across NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and WNBA. Public leagues need no credentials, and private leagues use the espn_s2 and SWID cookies your browser already holds.

Why League Loom
An ESPN fantasy MCP server is a bridge that lets an AI client read your ESPN league through the Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude and ChatGPT use to reach outside tools. League Loom is that bridge, hosted for you: there is no server to run and no API key to create, because it reads the same fantasy endpoints the ESPN website and app already use.
The server exposes 18 fantasy_* tools covering rosters, standings, matchups with weekly scoring and ESPN projections, schedules, transactions, draft results, available players, player data, and league settings. Public ESPN leagues need no credentials at all.
Private leagues use your espn_s2 and SWID cookies, entered once and sealed into an encrypted connection token rather than stored in a database, and League Loom never sees your ESPN password. Authorization uses OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration and PKCE, and all current tools retrieve or analyze data.
ESPN support covers NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and WNBA leagues, and the same connector also reads Sleeper and Fantrax.

No. ESPN does not issue fantasy API keys, and League Loom does not need one. It reads the same fantasy endpoints the ESPN website and app use. Public leagues need nothing at all; private leagues use the espn_s2 and SWID cookies from your own signed-in browser session, pasted once during setup.
No. League Loom is an independent MCP server that reads ESPN fantasy data through the endpoints ESPN's own site uses. Those endpoints are unofficial and undocumented, which is why the cookies for a private league can occasionally need refreshing.
Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code connect through the connector menu or a single command. ChatGPT adds it under Settings → Plugins as a custom connector, on a ChatGPT plan that supports custom connectors. Any other MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP works too, including Cursor, Cline, Goose, and Raycast.
All current tools retrieve or analyze data, and no write-action tools are registered today. The AI can tell you who to start or which claim to make, and you make the move in the ESPN app yourself.
