Run the league without the spreadsheet

Fantasy football commissioner tools for Claude and ChatGPT

League Loom gives Claude or ChatGPT read access to your whole league, so a commissioner can ask for the jobs the platform's own tools leave to you: a state of the league report, the weekly recap, power rankings, the playoff race and a second look at a lopsided trade. League Loom reads; you make every league decision in ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax.

What a commissioner can ask

The commissioner report

One request returns competitive balance, the week's blowouts and teams that look checked out for one league. Coverage follows each provider's standings, rosters and matchups, so check the capabilities page for your platform.

Every team, not just yours

A connected league can be read without managing a particular team, so you can review every roster, matchup and standing the provider returns.

League actions stay in your app

League Loom's tools read league data only. Change settings, approve trades, adjust lineups and message managers in your fantasy platform.

Get connected

From your league to your AI tool

1

Connect your league

Choose ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax in setup and select the correct sport and season. ESPN private leagues need cookies; Sleeper uses your username; Fantrax uses your league URL and may need a Secret ID. Enter credentials only in the setup form.

2

Add League Loom to your assistant

Follow the current Claude or ChatGPT connection guide. League Loom is free; your AI app's plan and custom-connection requirements are separate. Keep your connection token private.

3

Worked example

A Thursday check on a quiet team

Illustrative example with fictional teams.

  1. The flag

The commissioner report shows Waiver Warriors starting two players on bye and one ruled out.

  2. The check

The assistant reads that roster and the league's recent transactions: Waiver Warriors have made no moves in three weeks.

  3. The nudge

The commissioner messages the manager before lineups lock. League Loom supplied the facts; the conversation is yours.

More about this connection

Platform commissioner tools handle settings, lineup locks and approvals. The work that keeps a league fun still lands on the commissioner: chasing inactive managers, settling trade arguments and writing the weekly post. With the league connected, the assistant does the reading and you keep the decisions.

Inactive teams

What to do about an inactive fantasy football manager

An inactive manager hurts every team that plays them. Catch it early with facts, then follow your league's own rules.

Check the signals

Starters on bye, ruled out or inactive, and no transactions for weeks. The commissioner report flags rosters that look inactive.

Message before lineup lock

A reminder before games start fixes most cases.

Follow your league's rules

Setting another team's lineup, replacing a manager or applying a penalty are league decisions made in your fantasy platform.

Copy the inactive-team check

Use League Loom to read my league's commissioner report, rosters and recent transactions. List any team starting players who are on bye, ruled out or inactive this week, and how long since that team's last transaction. Present it as a list to check, without accusing anyone, and remind me that lineup changes happen in my fantasy app.

What League Loom cannot do here

  • League Loom cannot set lineups, lock rosters or message managers.
  • A flag is a signal to check, not proof that a manager quit.

Trade review

How to review a lopsided fantasy football trade

Most trade disputes are about facts the league never saw side by side. Lay them out before anyone votes or vetoes.

Both rosters, before and after

Each team's starting lineup and bench after the trade.

The context

Each team's record and playoff position, and the need the trade fills.

Ask, do not accuse

A trade that looks lopsided on paper can still fill a real need. Ask both managers before acting under your league's rules.

Copy the trade review prompt

Use League Loom to read both teams' rosters, records and recent transactions for the trade I describe. Show each starting lineup before and after, the need the trade fills for each team, and returned season points for every player involved. Separate facts from your judgment and do not accuse either manager of collusion. I will handle any review under my league's rules.

Questions, answered

What is a fantasy commissioner report?

League Loom's commissioner report summarizes one league: competitive balance from the spread of points for or win percentage, the week's blowouts and teams whose lineups look inactive. Your assistant turns it into a state of the league summary.

Do I have to be the commissioner to use it?

No. Anyone who connects a league can read it. These are simply the questions commissioners ask most often.

Can it catch collusion?

It can lay out what a trade does to both rosters so the league can discuss it. It cannot judge intent, and it does not approve, veto or reverse trades. Treat a lopsided trade as a reason to ask questions, not as proof of collusion.

Can it remove inactive managers or set their lineups?

No. League Loom only reads league data. It can point out teams that look inactive; contacting managers, changing lineups and league settings all happen in your fantasy platform.

Which platforms does it support?

ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax leagues. Some data depends on the provider: Fantrax matchup scores and transactions need a publicly viewable league, and ESPN private leagues need your espn_s2 and SWID cookies at setup.

Is it free for commissioners?

Yes. League Loom is a free connector with fair-use request budgets. Your AI assistant's plan and custom-connection requirements are separate.

Is it safe to connect my league?

League Loom is a free, independent connector, not an official ESPN, Sleeper, Fantrax, Claude or ChatGPT plugin. Your league credentials stay sealed inside your encrypted connection, and League Loom's current tools only read or analyze league data; you make every change in your fantasy app.

Can I use it from my phone?

In Claude, yes: add League Loom on claude.ai or Claude Desktop first, then ask from Claude's phone app. ChatGPT custom apps run on the web only, not in ChatGPT's phone apps.
