Read the team before the free agents
Confirm the league, NBA season, scoring and selected team. Ask which positions need help and whether an injured or locked player limits the move.
An available player. A reason to add. A drop you can defend.
League Loom lets Claude or ChatGPT read your fantasy basketball roster and available-player pool before suggesting waiver moves.
Ask for an add, a drop and the need each move fills. For streaming, verify the current NBA schedule separately: League Loom does not return full game schedules or confirmed rest days.

Before you start
Confirm the league, NBA season, scoring and selected team. Ask which positions need help and whether an injured or locked player limits the move.
Use the same stat period for the add and the drop. Season totals, recent news and projections are different evidence. Explain missing fields instead of treating them as zero.
Use remaining FAAB or waiver priority only when returned. Ask for missing transaction limits, deadlines and lock rules. League Loom does not submit the claim or change the lineup.

Worked example
Illustrative example with fictional players and a hypothetical schedule. Verify real game dates separately.
Guard A has three hypothetical games. Forward B has two. Both appear in your league's available pool.
Two of Guard A's games would fall on days when your guard slots are full. Forward B fits two open forward slots.
Ask which candidate gives usable starts after checking the real schedule and rules. Do not claim Guard A solely because three is greater than two.
A useful waiver answer accounts for the player you lose, the slot you need and the rules that govern the claim. League-specific availability keeps the shortlist relevant.
Separate schedule and injury research makes it clear which parts of the recommendation still need checking.
Before you connect
This guide shows how to ask about your connected league. The assistant reads available players when you ask; this page is not a live pickup ranking. Current injury news and NBA game schedules need separate, dated sources.
It can help shortlist available players and compare roster fit. Full NBA schedules and confirmed rest days are not returned by League Loom, so a streaming recommendation must use separate schedule research and your league's transaction rules.
Ask the assistant to compare each proposed addition with a player on your own roster, including position coverage and returned stats. It should leave locked players alone and ask about missing keeper, eligibility or transaction rules before recommending a move.
No. League Loom's tools are read-only. It supplies league context for your assistant's analysis; you review the recommendation and submit any add, drop or waiver claim in ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax yourself.
