The League Loom fantasy skill is a free download that gives Claude a routine for weekly reviews, NFL and NBA draft prep, start/sit, waivers and trades.

Priority: fill the Sleeper flex before Thursday's lock. The ESPN team needs no move this week.
Fantrax returned a categories scoring type and every roster with salaries. It does not return the category list, lineup slots or cap, so one round of questions before tiers:

Upload the skill
Download the ZIP. In Claude, open Customize, then Skills, click the plus button, choose Create skill, then Upload a skill.

Add the connector
Open Settings, then Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Paste https://leagueloom.com/mcp as the Remote MCP server URL, then approve the sign-in.

Choose your leagues
Pick your ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax leagues in the setup wizard, then ask Claude for your weekly review.
Adding a connector is a job for a computer. Send yourself the link and finish there.

How the skill works with the League Loom connector
The skill is the routine
A skill is a folder of instructions Claude loads when your question matches it. This one tells Claude to confirm your league and season first, leave locked lineup slots alone, keep league facts apart from outside research, and answer briefly.
The connector is the data
The skill cannot read a league by itself. League Loom, a free, read-only connector, returns your rosters, scoring, matchups, standings, drafts and available players from ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax, and the skill tells Claude how to use them.
You make the moves
League Loom has no write-action tools. Claude recommends; you set lineups, submit waiver claims, send trades and make draft picks in your ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax app.

Install the skill in Claude, step by step
Skill steps checked against Claude's help center on September 26, 2026; the connector step follows League Loom's Claude setup guides. Use Claude on the web or desktop; with the connector, setup takes about five minutes.
Turn on code execution
Skills need it. On Free, Pro and Max plans, open Settings, then Capabilities, and turn on Code execution and file creation. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner controls skills.

Save league-loom-fantasy-skill.zip from this page and keep it zipped. If your browser unzips it, zip the league-loom-fantasy folder itself again, not the files inside it.
Upload it
Open Customize, then Skills. Click the plus button, choose Create skill, then Upload a skill, and select the ZIP.
Switch it on
Find league-loom-fantasy in your skills list and make sure its toggle is on.

Open Settings, then Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Paste https://leagueloom.com/mcp, approve the sign-in and pick your leagues in the setup wizard.

2. Draft plan for football or basketball
Use the League Loom fantasy skill to build my draft plan. Read my league's scoring, roster slots and last draft first, ask me once for my draft slot, keepers and house rules, then give me tiers, a round-by-round plan and a cheat sheet. Label anything that comes from outside research.

Why League Loom
A Claude Skill that works with League Loom
League Loom already gives Claude your league: rosters, scoring, matchups, standings, drafts and the available pool from ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax. The skill adds a routine, so the same checks happen every time without a long prompt.
It has Claude confirm your league and season before advising, leave locked lineup slots alone, and keep league facts, outside research and its own judgment apart. It also keeps answers short and calls only the tools a question needs, which suits the connector's fair-use request budgets.
The limits are the connector's limits. Projections come from ESPN, and from Sleeper for NFL matchups; Fantrax and Sleeper basketball return none.
Basketball stat categories appear only where a provider or public research exposes them, and matchup reads summarize team scores rather than a category-by-category breakdown. You can connect up to 25 leagues per provider, and you make every move in your fantasy app.

Questions
What is the Claude fantasy football skill?
It is a free Claude Skill from League Loom: a ZIP holding one folder, league-loom-fantasy, with SKILL.md instructions, a draft reference and a README. Claude loads it when you ask about your fantasy team and follows its routine for weekly reviews, start/sit, waivers, trades and NFL and NBA draft prep.
Does the skill work without the League Loom connector?
No. A skill is instructions, not data, so on its own it cannot see your roster. Can I use it from my phone?
Set up on a computer: upload the skill and add the connector in Claude on the web or desktop. After the connector is added, league questions work from Claude's phone apps too. Does the skill work in ChatGPT?
