Cap space, contracts, and value

AI Draft Prep for Fantrax

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another MCP-compatible AI to your Fantrax league for draft prep that speaks in cap space rather than draft rounds.

League Loom reads your league's scoring and your roster with each player's salary, which most AI tools cannot see at all. The assistant asks you for the cap rules no API exposes, then prices your targets with a maximum bid for each one.

Why League Loom

Cap space, contracts, and value

Fantrax is where the complicated leagues live, and it is the platform most AI fantasy tools ignore entirely. A salary cap auction is not a draft board exercise: the question is never simply who is best available, it is what a player is worth to you given the cap room you have left and the contracts already on your roster.

League Loom is unusual in reading Fantrax at all, and it returns your roster with per-player salaries, which is the number this whole format turns on. The connector cannot see your cap total or your contract length rules, because Fantrax does not expose them, so the assistant asks you for those up front rather than guessing.

From there it can do the arithmetic that actually decides your draft: how much you can spend per open spot, which of your existing contracts are already bargains, and where the cheap production is in your specific scoring. Projections come from the assistant's own research across the major fantasy sites, clearly labeled as such, because League Loom does not return them.

FAQ

Questions

Does it know my salary cap?

Not automatically, so it asks. Fantrax does not expose your cap total or contract rules to the API, so the assistant asks you once at the start and factors your answers into every price it quotes.

Can it see player salaries?

Yes. League Loom returns your Fantrax roster with each player's salary, which is what makes cap arithmetic possible at all.

Where do the projections come from?

From the assistant's own research, not from League Loom. The connector returns your league's scoring, roster, salaries, and draft history. Projections and ADP are researched by the AI from public fantasy sources and labeled as research.

Which sports does this cover?

Fantrax on League Loom covers NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and more, so the same draft prep works for a football auction or a basketball dynasty league.

Do I need my Fantrax Secret ID?

No, it is optional. Paste your league URL and everything works. The Secret ID only lets the assistant discover your other Fantrax leagues on its own instead of you pasting each link.
